Such a beautiful day! The decorators went above and beyond. Their expressions were so creative, with such lovely detail. The Guild’s Tablescapes, was truly “A Royal Repast”. The Ramblers’ King of Rock ‘n Roll (a.k.a. Elvis) surprised us with his presence. Eyleen Widjanarko provided delightful background piano music for our table tour. Abigail Workman’s harp performance was enchanting. What a special way to support music and education! The purpose of Tablescapes is to raise funding for scholarships awarded annually by The Guild. The Guild holds a well known, well respected spring scholarship competition, awarding a minimum of 9 scholarships to deserving students studying music in Alabama colleges and universities.
The winners of the Tablescapes competition
1st Margaret Hubbard and Lisa Venable, “Singin’ in the Rain”
2nd Pat Grant, “Silver Linings”
3rd John Robinson and Victoria Hallman, “The Ramblers…Birmingham’s Rock ‘n Roll Royalty”
Thank you to all those that supported, created and/or executed an unforgettable experience.
